Hill City Mushrooms is partnering again with the Blue Ridge Mycological Society to offer a detailed, lecture-based mushroom cultivation class covering the full growing process from start to finish.
This class is led by experienced cultivator and owner of Hill City Mushrooms, Brandon Sharp.
The format is structured and educational, with real materials shown and passed around throughout the lecture so attendees can see exactly what each stage looks like in practice.
Class Format
This is a guided lecture with hands-on visuals. Materials will be displayed and passed around, including:
• Grain spawn
• Fully colonized substrate blocks
• Fruiting examples
• Substrate components
• Contamination examples
• Tools and equipment used in production
While this is not a lab or inoculation workshop, attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how cultivation works in the real world.
